VoiceSignals’ People Intelligence Platform© provides answers to questions like the ones above by revealing the complete personality and emotion profile of an organization’s people – simply by hearing them speak.
Recent research in psychology has shown that accurate perceptions of a person’s personality traits, emotional states, and intelligence can be made by listening to short recordings of their voice[i] and that these perceptions can be used to reliably predict the speaker’s future behavior[ii]. In addition, research in Artificial Intelligence (AI) has shown that computer algorithms can learn to perceive and understand speech with the same degree of accuracy as a human[iii].
Building upon these developments in psychology and AI, VoiceSignals’ has developed an AI application that can accurately rate a speaker’s personality traits and emotional states in real-time. Experts in psychometric measurement and AI engineering designed, developed, and continue to improve the application, which is aligned with best practices in psychological assessment, including the Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing[iv]and the Principles for the Validation and Use of Personnel Selection Procedures[v], along with best practices for the ethical use of AI[vi]. This application is embedded in VoiceSignals’ People Intelligence Platform©.
When developing psychometric assessments and AI applications, high-quality and appropriate data must be used. To achieve this, VoiceSignals’ hired 23 individuals with a combined 190 years of experience in psychological assessment to provide accurate ratings for the AI to learn from. Stringent statistical metrics were used to identify the ratings which had high rater agreement and qualified as high-quality data for the purpose of training the AI. Results from validation studies demonstrate that the AI application successfully learned from the expert human raters and is able to accurately rate personality and emotion from previously unheard audio files.
The People Intelligence Platform© seamlessly integrates with an organization’s telephony system and is able to generate accurate ratings of a speaker’s personality traits and emotional states in real-time. These ratings are then used to forecast revenue-driving behavior, such as purchasing habits or credit risk of customers and performance or work engagement of employees.
VoiceSignals’ People Intelligence Platform© also offers three features designed to address specific customer needs.
Match: develop psychological profiles of your key customers and employees from the extensive databank of traits and emotions available in the People Intelligence Platform© and receive notifications when a person is matched with that profile
Monitor: identify and monitor the key emotions and states of mind in your customers and employees that are tied to business success
Moderate: observe the changing emotions and mindset of a customer to influence the trajectory of the conversation
VoiceSignals’ People Intelligence Platform© has been intentionally designed to provide people intelligence to organizations of all shapes and sizes. Our goal is to bring People Intelligence to any organization, department, or team, large or small, in any industry, anywhere.
